Bethesda Softworks announced that Obsidian Entertainment will be the developer for a new Fallout game titled Fallout: New Vegas. The game is set to release next year on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
According Bethseda’s VP in marketing and PR, “It’s not a sequel to Fallout 3, it’s just another game in the universe, and it has no impact whatsoever on whatever Todd Howard and his team are working on.”
“It’s not Fallout Tactics — it’s not Brotherhood Of Steel. It’s another Fallout game,”
“It has no impact on what [Bethesda Game Studios game director] Todd Howard and his guys are planning,” said Hines.
Since the Obsidian staff are former employees of Black Isle’s original Fallout games, I truly have confidence that new Fallout game will definitely hit its roots again.
